Fun in Idaho

Here are a few pics from our extended stay in Idaho. (Thanks for letting us hang around for two weeks, mom and dad!)

We always look for "Chicken Dinner Road" on our drive to Boise. Once we've passed it we feel like we're officially getting close.

My deprived California kids have been asking to go play in snow for over a year now. My mom and I took them up and had the most perfect day. Sunny weather, a view of the valley, and the most sleddable, packable, playable snow you could ask for.

We found out my good friend since middle school was in town (Hi, Holly), and spent a day at the Discovery Museum and a night playing Bang! (To hear Jon's broken hand story, see Two Things You Must Try to hear Jon's broken hand story.)

On the last day we got to watch Angela compete in dance and Dad run the "Beat Pete" race at BSU. Dad made special arrangements ahead of time to donate $5 to scholarships for everyone who came in before him. When he was #28, the D.J. said, "Now either Dr. Hoeger is fast or he's cheap." Dad ended up raising his donation.

  1. You know, I sure hope the "Beat Pete" race was at BSU and not BYU otherwise I will be totally offended that you did not even visit.

  2. oop. Thanks, Brian. I fixed it. ANd yes, of course we would never dream of entering Utah without immediately heading to your place for some fun--and to see Hailey.
