One of the best times of day is story time. It's something we all look forward to—I or Brent get to just sit down for a while, with the kids, and the kids get a story. We're most of the way through Peter Pan. Which I love—really there aren't many stories that speak so truely about mothers and kids. Kate loves stories, and gets wrapped up in the action. At bedtime she'll say things like, “let’s see what’s happening to our friends.” She was thrilled last night when we were reading about the part in the lagoon where the pirates plot to have Wendy be their mother. She thought this was fantastic. “But Wendy’s just a little girl!”
