Tahoe

We've been pretty spoiled to get to make a visit to Tahoe two summers in a row now. Last year with Fawsons and just days away from having Reid, this year with Hoegers and baby Reid. We think we're getting hooked.

Among the highlights:
watching world cup and eating shrimp tacos,
ice cream two days in a row (see below),
crawl tracks on the beach (see also below),
sand volleyball with a view (Cherie rocked and chasing down the ball before it dove over the cliff by our condo),
having an entire beach to ourselves two days in a row,
and just getting spoiled to be with everyone.
Emerald bay with the boys.
Danny building castles and telling Oma all about it.
The lake was perfect. If you could get over the innitial, um, suprise, it was just right. This is Jon doing his thing off the dock.
Kate was all over the lake with the kyak. She was the self-appointed lake host, and rowed for an hour or two with alternating partners. She could have gone much longer. She loves being on the water.
We could just see her biceps growing, can't you?
Brent managed to win over Natalie. I wonder how.
We found some waterfalls we loved. Uncle Jon takes the best waterfall pictures.

Reid was spoiled pretty much the entire time. Thanks, Oma and Opa.
Danny is taking after Opa and attracting small woodland creatures. After an hour of him feeding the chipmunks I don't think we had any wheat thins left for the rest of us.
Ice cream two days in a row was pretty great. You are looking at everyone having a "kid's scoop."
Yum.
We found the most amazing beach two days before leaving and had it all to ourselves. Both days. Reid was at liberty to crawl around the entire beach, and couldn't have been a happier kid.

Crawl tracks. Too cute.
We biked in the rain and loved it.
Uncle Jon showing the watermelon who's boss. Cherie was the amazing food coordinater of the trip. Her currie and calzones were pretty amazing.
This is Reid's new way of saying hello. We love it.
Yes, we like Tahoe just fine.
