we love Fort Bragg

Last weekend we ran away to Fort Bragg for a few days. We'd never been before but it came highly recommended. We decided that it was okay with us--the wide open sandy beaches and bluffs overlooking the ocean, the tidepools, the bike rides through fern gulleys and along the coast at sunset with the pacific ocean crashing against the cliffs, the seals bobbing along in the water and lounging on the shore, and even the mushroom ice cream. Yes, mushroom ice cream.

There were seagulls for Reid to chase, hermet crabs and little fish for Danny to spend hours studying, and a big wide ocean for Kate to get her jeans wet in (one thing about our Kate, if she is near water, she never comes away dry). And all this meant time for Brent and I kick back and talk. My kind of vacation. We will be back, Fort Bragg.

  1. Looks like a great place! So glad to see you all had a relaxing time. Ok, we'll have to add that onto our 'got to go there' list :)

  3. Count us in the next time you go back to Fort Bragg! I love the picture of Reid on the boardwalk with the long grass swaying in the wind. The one of your bike overlooking the beach looks like it should be in a travel magazine! It's amazing to find those places that you actually get to go to and think, "are we really here? Do places like this really exist still?
