Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all our friends and family! Today we are counting you in our blessings and grateful to be celebrating the birth of our Savior.

A few Christmas highlights.

 Snow! Fake snow anyway. When we woke Reid up and told him it was Christmas, he jumped up and announced he was going to play in the snow and unwrap presents. When he looked out the window he was a little bewildered not to see snow, but was okay with going straight to presents. Luckly Santa dropped some play snow in the stockings so he and Kate got some snow play time, in pajamas no less!

 Christmas baking! This session took place starting at 6:50 a.m. last Saturday at Reid's suggestion.

 Present time. Reid has had hard time this year understanding why we talk about and bring home presents for a whole month before we can open them. He could hardly believe when he woke up this morning that today was THE day.

 Before taking off for Christmas in Arizona, Grandma and Grandpa came up to open some gifts and for a competitive indoor hopscotch tournament.

 Grandpa and Grandma had some skills.

 A b-i-g suprise from Saint Nick, thanks to a tip from Oma and Opa, with a really special gift inside.

 Christmas eve cousin time! Andrea cooked up a yummy dinner and the kids had a blast.

And finally I have to add a little note about our Kate. She is always such a darling at Christmas. She is always so pleased and grateful for every gift she unwraps, and she always takes the time to make thoughtful gifts for her family. This year her brothers each got their own cardboard dagger and $5 each. And for Brent and I, coupons for chores she knows we particuarly like help with, with a clause at the bottom that makes it a double coupon if she complains. We love that girl.
